There are many newborn photographers in Asheville who will ask you to bring your baby into their studio within the first two weeks after your baby’s birth. They’ll pose your baby, usually alone, in adorable yet unnatural positions. They might swaddle your baby just perfectly and put the baby in a basket or with some other prop.

This style of photography can be very beautiful but please note, it’s not my style of newborn photography. I prefer a more organic, natural way of posing your baby.

You see, I’m all about “baby led posing.” That means I let your baby be themselves, in all their natural glory. No forcing them into weird positions or treating them like flower pot decorations. Instead, we keep it real and let your little one do their thing. And believe me, they’re absolute perfection just the way they are.
